Who Are We?
The Mindfulness Bell is a journal of the art of mindful living to continue the mindful teachings and practice of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, support our monasteries around the world, and engage in community building in order to foster peace and transform suffering in all people, animals, plants, and our planet.
We are an initiative of the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism, Inc. (PVCEB), the nonprofit 501(c)3 organization incorporated in the United States dedicating to supporting the teachings of the Thich Nhat Hanh Plum Village tradition.
How Do We Collect Information from You?
We obtain information about you when you use our website — for example, when you place an order or make a donation — or contact us through the website or email, or register to receive an e-newsletter.
What Type of Information Is Collected from You?
The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, products you ordered, donations you made, whether you have volunteered with us, and whether you are over age 16. If you donate to us or purchase from us online, your credit or debit card information is not held by us. It is collected by our third-party payment processors who specialize in the secure online capture and processing of credit or debit card transactions, as explained below.

When you use our secure online order and donation pages, your order and donation are processed by a third-party payment processor who specializes in the secure online capture and processing of credit and debit card transactions. You may choose whether to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive our direct marketing communications about our products and the practice of mindfulness in the Plum Village tradition, you can opt out by checking the relevant boxes on the form where we collect your information.
We will not contact you for marketing by email, phone, or text message unless you previously consented. We will not contact you for marketing by mail if you have indicated you do not wish to be contacted. Non-sensitive details such as your email address are transmitted normally over the Internet, which can never be guaranteed 100% secure.
