A community of Buddhist practitioners is referred to as a "Sangha" (Sanskrit for community). The three jewels of Buddhism are the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha; this third jewel offers a deep well of support and wisdom for both monastics and lay practitioners. As Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us, "If you are without a sangha you lose your practice very soon."
We offer this Sangha directory with the hope that it will help you to connect with other practitioners and nourish your practice. Maintained by volunteers, the directory is a work in progress, and we rely on practitioners around the world to help us keep the information current. If you'd like to add or change a listing, or if you have questions, please send a detailed message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
