Poem: Blossom

I am a bulb. For many years I have been locked inside a cold garage. I have been very sad. I have been very lonely. I almost turned into dust. It's a wonder I survived! But I am here now still, and this season I will be planted; happy to be in the warm, moist soil. With tender loving care I will blossom, smile, and carry many flowers, bringing great joy into the world.
